Hey Everyone!

I hope you’re all doing great and enjoying the start of summer. I wanted to catch you up on what’s been going on with me lately.

Birthday Fun and Chewy Updates

I just had a big birthday! Thanks to everyone who sent me birthday wishes—they really made my day. I even treated myself to a birthday burger at Kelsey’s. On the home front, my dog Chewy just got groomed and is looking as cute as ever. For those who don’t know, Chewy is a mix of Papillon, Jack Russell, and kangaroo—we call her a “kanget dog.” She’s a year and a half old and full of energy.

GUNN Street Triplex Project

We’ve been busy with our property on Gunn Street. This old triplex needed a lot of updates—new electrical, plumbing, and even a partial new roof. We’re adding more bedrooms to boost its value. It’s been a bigger job than we expected, but we’re hoping to finish by early July and get it on the market soon after. I’ll share some before and after photos once we’re done!

Launching PM Brokers Franchise

I’m excited to share that we’re launching the PM Brokers franchise. This new venture will provide a solid system for property management. It’s perfect for real estate pros who want to offer property management services without the hassle of running the operations. We handle all the backend work, and they get a steady income. The new company is set up, our logo is being trademarked, and our website and marketing materials will be ready in a month.

Growing in Sudbury

We’ve also been expanding in Sudbury. We bought a property management company there and are now focusing on attracting more landlords. My marketing team, led by Mylena, is rolling out a strategy to grow our client base. It’s exciting to see our portfolio grow and our services improve.

Thanks for catching up with me. I look forward to sharing more updates next month. Take care!

Best,

Richard Brisson

**Honoring Dads Worldwide: A Guide to Father’s Day Celebrations**

Father’s Day is a special time to celebrate and honor fathers and father figures for their love and hard work. It started in the United States, proposed by Sonora Smart Dodd in 1909, and was officially recognized in 1972. Different countries have their own ways of celebrating: in the U.S. , Canada and the UK, it’s on the third Sunday in June with gifts and family gatherings; in Germany, it’s called Vatertag and celebrated with hiking and beer; in Thailand, it’s on December 5, the late king’s birthday; and in Brazil, it’s on the second Sunday of August with big feasts and church services.

Modern celebrations often include giving tech gadgets, tools, personalized items, or spending quality time together. But Father’s Day is more than just gifts. It’s about recognizing the importance of fatherhood, encouraging dads to think about their roles, and for children to show their appreciation. It also highlights the rights and well-being of fathers, and the many forms and challenges of being a dad today.

The Role of Fatherhood Today

Fatherhood today means doing many things. Dads are more involved in taking care of children and helping around the house. Society is starting to recognize this and support dads with things like paternity leave and better work-life balance. This helps create healthier families.

Interesting Facts About June

June is not just for Father’s Day. It’s also a month full of interesting things.

  • Summer Solstice: June has the longest day of the year, called the Summer Solstice, around June 20-21. It’s a time of joy and celebration as we welcome summer.
  • National Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Month: June is a great time to enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables. It’s the perfect month to start eating healthier with all the fresh produce available.
  • Great Outdoors Month: June is also a time to enjoy the outdoors. It’s the best month to go camping, hiking, or just spend time in nature with family and friends.

Celebrating Father’s Day with a Twist

Make Father’s Day extra special with activities beyond the usual gifts:

  • Adventure Activities: Plan a day of hiking, fishing, or a road trip to a new place.
  • Cultural Experiences: Visit a museum, go to a concert, or try a new type of food together.
  • DIY Projects: Spend the day building something together, like a birdhouse or a garden.
  • Virtual Celebrations: If you can’t be together, have a virtual gathering with online games or a shared movie night.

The Importance of Fathers

Father’s Day reminds us to cherish the bonds we have with our dads and father figures. It’s a day to recognize their hard work and the important role they play in our lives. Whether through heartfelt talks, thoughtful gestures, or spending quality time together, showing gratitude can make these relationships stronger.

So, as we step into June, let’s embrace the season and honor the fathers who have shaped our lives.
